How to shorten and track a URL

A short URL redirects visitors to the destination you choose. LinkMngr records click activity so you can compare the links you share.

  1. Add your destination

Paste the full URL. If you use campaign tracking, add UTM parameters to the destination before shortening it.

  2. Choose the short link

Select an available domain and slug. Custom domains are included in Standard and Super.

  3. Share and review clicks

Use a separate link for each placement, then compare click activity. Use your website analytics to measure signups or purchases after the visit.

Manage links across brands and tools.

Organize links and domains by brand. Super includes multiple team members, so collaborators can manage shared campaigns.

Create and manage links programmatically through the URL shortener API, or connect a compatible AI client to the LinkMngr MCP server.

Before you create your first link

Is LinkMngr a free URL shortener?

Yes. Free includes 200 new links and 10,000 clicks per month, one brand, one link-in-bio page, and basic analytics. Compare the full plan limits.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Custom domains are available on Standard and Super. You need a domain you control and access to its DNS settings. Follow the custom short-link setup.

Do shortened links expire?

LinkMngr doesn't set a time-based expiry on short links. A link still needs an active destination and, when you use your own domain, a valid domain registration and working DNS. Links can also be removed for violations of the terms of service.

Can I change the destination after sharing a link?

Yes. Edit the saved destination while keeping the same short URL. Test the public link after an update, particularly when it appears in printed material or a sent email.
