Short links on your own domain.

A custom URL shortener lets you share links using a domain you control. With LinkMngr, you can choose a readable slug, update the destination, and track clicks from the same account.

Keep your brand in the URL.

A branded link has two parts you choose: the domain and the slug after it. For example, go.example.com/summer could redirect to a longer campaign landing page. This is an illustrative address.

The destination can include campaign parameters without putting the whole URL in your post, email, or printed material. Keep the full destination in LinkMngr and test the redirect before sharing it.

A custom domain requires a paid plan. You can start on Free with a LinkMngr domain, then connect your own domain when you need it.

How to set up branded short links

Use a dedicated subdomain or a separate domain for short links. Avoid replacing the DNS records that serve your existing website.

  1. Choose a domain you control

A subdomain such as go.example.com can keep your main website on its current host. A separate domain works too, but it needs its own registration and renewal.

  2. Add it to your brand

In LinkMngr, open your brand's domain settings. Add the domain and use the DNS records shown there. Wait for verification and HTTPS to be ready before publishing links.

  3. Create and test your link

Paste the complete destination, choose the connected domain, and set an available slug. Open the finished short link and confirm the destination and campaign parameters.

For DNS planning, read subdomain vs. separate domain for short links. The branded short links guide covers setup and ongoing management.

Manage links after a campaign launches.

Edit the saved destination when an offer or page changes. Keeping the public short URL lets you update the route behind an existing post or printed link.

Create separate links for email, social posts, and partner placements so their click counts stay distinguishable. Use link analytics for click activity and your destination analytics for conversions.

Brands keep domains and links organized. Standard includes two brands and one custom domain per brand; Super removes those brand and domain limits. The pricing page lists the complete quotas.

Custom domain questions

Does LinkMngr register the domain for me?

You need to supply and maintain your own domain. Connecting it to LinkMngr does not replace its registration or renewal.

Can the domain still host my website?

Keep the website on its existing hostname and use a separate subdomain for short links. A single hostname's DNS cannot independently point to two different services for different URL paths.

Will my old short links move automatically?

No. Connecting a domain doesn't import redirects from another service. Inventory the existing paths and destinations before changing DNS. Follow the shortener migration guide to avoid breaking published links.
